Book Review: My Travels in Japan: A Comic Book Artist's Amazing Journey
I love travelogue journals and sketchbooks, and this is a good one.
Audry Nicklin is the author and she is an artist, illustrator and also writes books on knitting.
In this almost A5-sized 128-page hardcover book, she has documented her trip that covered several locations in Japan. She has went to Tokyo, Yokohama, Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima and many other places.
It's fun to read about what she saw and her experiences. She talked about culture, food, sights, people, including interaction with the locals, and animals at the deer park . There's much to read. I'm pretty sure the beautiful drawings were not drawn on location because there are so many drawings that would take ages to complete.
If you like travelogues and sketchbooks, this is another one to add to your collection.
