This one of three compendiums published recently on Zelda. It covers basically all that were not covered in the earlier two books, The Legend of Zelda: Art & Artifacts and The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia.
This is a huge hardcover published by Dark Horse, just like the two books before. This book is also available in Kindle format which is significantly cheaper. It you get the digital version, then you won't be able to marvel at just how big and thick this book is. There are 328 pages.
Going through this book will definitely send you down nostalgia lane.
So what's the difference between this and the other books.
Hyrule Historia features the concept art for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, history of Hyrule and a 32-page Skyward Sword comic by Akira Himekawa. Art & Artifacts features a lot of character designs.
And this third book in the so called "Goddess Collection" series features all the details of the games. More specifically, it features the history of the Zelda world, the different lands, races and culture, geography and nature (animals), weapons and equipment, enemies, database for the dungeons, levels and monsters, and a look at the individual games created over the years, completed with notes from the developers.
This book is an comprehensive as it can get. You can probably guess that since it's, well, an encyclopedia. Other than all the text, this book is packed with lots of art, screenshots from the games and maps.
This is an incredible book. Highly recommended to all Zelda fans.
