Pen and Ink Drawing Workbook is the companion to Alphonso Dunn's earlier book, Pen and Ink Drawing: A Simple Guide.
The previous book was packed with lots of useful tips, practical techniques and instructions. This workbook is packed with hands-on exercises to build on what was already taught. This is the book for those who want to quickly get better art drawing.
Almost every page in this 144-page paperback is a drawing exercise, each focusing on a specific technique. There are basic instructions, reference example, and you just have to draw what you see. Drawing is best learned by doing, drawing, so the plenty of exercises really helps here. Through the examples and looking at your own work, you'll be able to understand the techniques that work, and see how much you have improved.
This is a fantastic book for beginners. It's fairly inexpensive so it's really worth the money. Do get it with the previous book if you haven't.

In my opinion this book isn't

In my opinion this book isn't worth it if you already own the "main" book. Dunn's earlier book already is very clear in terms of instructions, with a lot of visual examples accompanying it. All this workbook does in my opinion is provide paper to draw on - I think it's unnecessary, but that's just me.
You know what could really need workbooks though? Scott Robertson's books on perspective and rendering.

Exactly what was needed! The fist book was great but I felt that I needed exercises to actually see step-wise process to use. He provides drawings we can trace and also provide simple skill building exercises. its really cool and complements the first one really nicely.

I disagree. When using the first book I quickly started wishing I had a large set of pre-made exercises.
I don't do exercises in the book, I use sketchbooks for it.
