Book Review: The Art of The Legends of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'hoole

Oh wow. You have no idea how long I've been waiting for a book similar to this to be made. After the movie was released, stayed in theaters and then quietly went on its merry way to the abyss of DVD and Blu-Ray, I was certain the chance for an art-book was gone for good.

It's very pricy though. I need to wait a couple more days before actually getting to buy it. Hope it won't go out of stock by then. Still, 75$ book+shipping for Europe IS a lot of money so I'm hoping the high price will keep it around for a while.

Legend of the Guardians is my all time favorite CG animated film, as Zack Snyder is truly a visionary master. So glad to be gifted with an art book...

Yay, I finally ordered. I wonder if the 6-8 week limit is accurate though. Anyone have any feedback on the shipping time?

Hmmm, seems to be very owl-centered. Gonna be a problem if you're not diggin them owls.

it's a supper good art book, yet, the book is too expansive. It almost costs EUR85. (Crying)

I luv this site, Parka! I sent an email to AnimalLogic and they said; "we are working on bringing our book to the public via some lovely local books stores in both Sydney and internationally. Stay tuned for updates!" Hopefully, in Europe before x-mas!! They also told me that "each book is packaged by hand from our Sydney office – no production line here!" Even by Sea Mail it would cost $35, so no need for me to 'beg' my friend in Sydney to send me a copy...still contemplating the book though...

4 days ago to buy this book。send three messages to AnimalLogic。But AnimalLogic I did not respond。Do not know that the book has not mailed to。Do not know when I received the book。

Bugua... I'm not sure if you mean that the book did not arrive to you yet. But if that's the problem then I should let you know that mine took almost 3 months to reach me - but it did, in the end. I naturally emailed AnimalLogic when I saw that the 8 weeks had passed and there was still no sign of my book. And they said that the estimate had changed to 12 weeks and that I should wait a bit more. I got my book almost 2 weeks after I got their reply. It was in excellent shape (after all that time I was expecting a train-wreck). So yeah, hope you get your soon, too.

I ordered the Artbook on 20th August. Today - 19th November - it arrived and I'm living in Germany. I was already worried ... but the Artbook is awesome and I don't regret it :)

Of course the book is owl-centered. Do you have any idea what the movie is about?
If you don't like owls, you wouldn't watch this movie not too mention buy this book.
