Review: SoundPEATS H3 wireless earphones
Review unit provided by SoundPEATS
The SoundPEATS H3 is officially released on 18 September 2025 with a retail price of USD 129, currently USD 85. These are wireless earphones with high quality audio with ANC among other features.
Bottom line
The audio quality is amazing. These earphones are able to bring out the details that I didn't even pay attention to while listening. Treble is crisp, bass is warm. The audio quality is noticeably better than the SoundPEATS Capsule3 Pro+ I've reviewed in Jan 2025 and much better than the SoundPEATS Air5 Pro reviewed last month. If you want high quality audio at an affordable price, I can recommend the SoundPEATS H3 easily.
There are many features which I will go over later, such as ANC, dual-device pairing, EQ, etc.
Main downside is there's no proximity sensor. Removing the earphones from your ear will not pause the media. This is a really convenient feature that's missing.
The design of the earphones is quite different from the bud-style and stem-style earphones. These are still considered bud-style but the shape is more angular at the top which extrudes down to the nozzle. It's still comfortable enough to wear but it's quite unusual compared to the common wireless earphone designs.

Design
Prior to receiving the SoundPEATS H3, my main wireless earphones is the SoundPEATS Capsule3 Pro+ (also sponsored) which I have been using since Jan 2025. The charging case for the SoundPEATS H3 (right) is just slightly larger, but still very compact and portable. There's no weight listed on the product page but it's lightweight.
The translucent dark cover looks pretty cool. The shiny gold-like trim that goes across the front and back looks classy and gives this charging case a premium feel.
The SoundPEATS Capsule3 Pro+ looks small due to the stem-style design while the H3 looks more bulky.
I prefer the stem-style design but I'm fine with the H3 design too as it's still quite comfortable to wear, and fits my ear nicely after swapping to the ear tips of the appropriate size.
The earphones feature this transparent housing where you can see internal circuitry. This is a pretty cool looking design except I can see the glue at the seams which wasn't applied perfectly.
The earphones have IPX5 rating against low-pressure water jets and sprays. I seriously hope the sealing is good because any moisture that gets inside will cause mold growth which will be visible.
The earphones support touch shortcuts and are easy to use. You can learn the shortcuts from the user manual.
Here are the audio specs:
- 2 balanced armature drivers and a 12mm dynamic driver for a full-range audio response
- Uses Qualcomm® QCC3091 chipset with Snapdragon Sound™
- Bluetooth codes supported are SBC/AAC/LDAC/aptX/aptX Adaptive/aptX Lossless
- AI-powered ANC with 6-mic delivers up to 55dB noise reduction across 4 modes (Adaptive, Indoor, Outdoor, Traffic)
- Six built-in microphones with AI noise reduction and cVc™ 8.0 deliver clear, stable voice quality for hands-free conversations.
- Bluetooth 5.4, supports dual device pairing (can't be used together with LDAC)
The Bluetooth multi-pairing feature allows you to paid the earphones to two devices. To switch between the devices, just mute one device and play media on the other.
Sound
The audio quality is wonderful, much better than the other SoundPEATS earphones I have.
There's good clarity with even some soundstage. The treble and mids are able to bring attention to details. The bass is warm and makes you feel. The audio experience is wonderful. And this is amazing because you don't have to spend that much money to get awesome sounding earphones nowadays.
ANC works well. Together with the good fitting ear-tips, external noise can be filtered out quite effectively.
Transparency mode doesn't work as well. I could barely hear my wife who's talking to me, with the Voice Enhancement and Standard Transparency mode.
Call quality is alright, usable, nothing special.
App
The companion app PeatsAudio is available on Android and iOS. This app allows you to adjust the following settings:
- Noise cancelling, normal mode, transparency
- Dual-device connection
- Disable touch
- Game mode (60ms ultra low latency)
- Enable LDAC
- Customise touch shortcuts
- Choose preset EQs
- Customise EQ
Battery life
Battery life is rated for 7 hours per charge, 37 hours with the case.
Charging the earphones for 10 minutes can provide 2 hours of listening.
