Book Review: 魅(CHARM) -VOFAN大人幻想画集-

Here's the artbook for Taiwanese illustrator VOFAN (flickr). The original book was actually published in Chinese and this book is the Japanese translated version. It's a 184-page paperback.

The book features gallery of beautiful pin-up illustrations of girls in different themes such as gaming, fantasy, daily, etc.

The character and costume designs look great, very colourful and vibrant. There's this soft glow, pastel colour style. I like the character poses, and there aren't many skimpily clad bikini girls, so you get to see a lot of different designs, costumes.

Every page spread features a full page illustration, and the page beside will have zoomed in view on the details and rough sketches. The last few pages goes into his drawing process and there are some other artworks in chibi style.

It's a beautiful artbook for those who like pin-ups or pretty girl illustrations.
