Review: Uperfect Uhub Power X3 multi-display hub

Review sample provided by Uperfect

The Uperfect UHub Power X3 is a USB-C display hub that lets you connect to three external displays. Price of this at the time of review is USD 190.

This is a product for people who want to use up to three external displays but are limited by the number of video ports.

The product comes with the display hub, a 50cm USB-C video cable, a much longer USB-C charging cable, 65W power adapter and a quick start guide. There no extra video cables provided except for the rather short one that's included.

The display hub is about the size of a large phone, but thicker. Build quality with the metal body is solid. There are grilles on the top and bottom for heat dissipation.

There are three USB-C video ports by the side. Video output for one single display is 4K 144Hz. Video output for three connected displays is 4K 60Hz for each display.

On this side is the USB-C port to connect to the computer, and there's another USB-C port for power input. This display hub supports USB 4, Thunderbolt 3 and 4 connection to the computer.

And here's a USB-A port with USB 2 transfer speed.

You'll have to buy your own USB-C video cables for the external monitors you want to connect to.

When one display is connected, you can get 4K 144Hz. For some reason, when I connected the Asus ProArt PA27USD, there was no visuals on the Asus display even though my computer was able to detect it.

This is with the hub connected to two displays, the Uperfect UMax 27 Switches and Gaomon PD1900.

And this is with three display connected, including the XPPen Artist Ultra 16 (left). The Uperfect monitor on the right is running at 4K 120Hz.

Since the display hub is powered, it may be able to power external displays that use USB-C connections. I was able to power the XPPen Artist Ultra 16 (above) to maximum brightness. According to Uperfect, you can get up to 15W of power from the USB-C ports, and that's usually enough to power 15 to 16-inch external displays.

The display hub is unable to power the Uperfect UMax 27 Switches even though that's a portable display.

The Uperfect UHub Power X3 is a simple product to understand. From my testing, it works as advertised. If you want to buy this, you can buy it from Uperfect online store.
