Review: Gaomon Pro 19 (PD1900) pen display
Review unit provided by Gaomon
The Gaomon Pro 19 (PD1900) is an 18.4-inch 4K UHD pen display designed for digital artists that's released on 5 Jan 2026. Price at time of review is USD 749.
This mid-sized pen display provides good competition to the Huion Kamvas Pro 19 and the XPPen Artist Pro 19 (gen 2).

Design

Design of the Gaomon Pro 19 looks clean and simple, a bit generic but that's alright. Build quality feels good, except for the back which is plasticky but still solid. The pen display has a good weight to it, but not too heavy, and feels sturdy.

The pen holder is already attached to the display. Do not pull the pen holder while taking the display out from the box. The pen holder is made with plastic can break.

Having the pen holder at the top of the display is convenient. You can store the pen away easier and the next time you draw, the pen is always there.

The built-in stand is very useful and convenient. It is really smart of the company to include a stand which doesn't really cost that much but provides a lot of utility. The stand also has good grip on the table.

The built-in stand can set the pen display much higher compared to other built-in stands from other companies. This allows you to use the pen display like a proper monitor, such as when watching shows, web browsing.

The ports face left, and they are USB-C video, HDMI and power.

Regardless of whether the video connection is from USB-C or HDMI, the pen display has to be connected to power source. Shown above is mirror mode with black bars on the left and right, but you can use extended desktop mode too, or use the pen display as the main and only display.
If you use HDMI, a USB cable must also also be connected to your computer for the pen to work.
Display

Colours of the pen display look good out of the box, but it's always good to calibrate the display especially if you're using it with another display or laptop.

I measured a maximum brightness of 210 nits, 100% sRGB, 91% NTSC, 93% AdobeRGB, 98% P3. Colour accuracy is considered pretty good. Maximum brightness is high enough, at least for me as someone who usually use my monitor at 150 nits at home.

This is how the anti-glare looks compared to the Wacom MovinkPad Pro 14 review unit that I have. The diffused reflection will create this white "haze" which is more noticeable compare the the Wacom's matte display.

Diffused reflection is not really an issue as long as there's no strong or big light source pointed directly at the display. From the front, the visual quality looks good. Colours are vibrant.

Display resolution is 4K UHD, 3840 x 2160. Refresh rate is 60Hz. Visuals are sharp enough with a slight hint of softness. From normal working distance away, the visuals look sharp to me.

All matte surfaces will introduce some grain, colour noise or anti-glare sparkle and with this pen display all that is kept to a minimal, so the visual quality isn't affected much.
Overall, the display quality is considered good.

Press and hold the power button for a few seconds and the OSD will appear where you can adjust the brightness, contrast, colour temperature and other display settings. When colour calibrating the display, set the display mode to Native first, and after calibration you can switch to sRGB, AdobeRGB or P3 depending which colour space you work with.
The OSD can only be adjusted with the pen, not finger as this display is not a touchscreen.
Driver
The driver is available for Windows, Mac and Linux.

With Windows, the window for the Gaomon driver may appear too small even after you have set the display UI scaling. If that happens, go to Properties > Compatibility > Change high DPI settings, and play around with the settings there.
With the driver, you can adjust the pressure curve with control points, calibrate the pen to remove parallax.
I didn't really experience any issues with the driver except for the size of the driver window in Windows OS.
You can read more about what the driver can do from the user manual.
Line tests
Linet tests below were created with Medibang Paint:

1. Thin lines can be drawn easily even with a thick brush selected. Diagonal lines do not have noticeable wobble or jitter. Pen sensitivity is good at minimal pressure.
2. Lines are able to taper smoothly, sharply, naturally.
3. Line transition from thin to thick is smooth. Thin line can be drawn after thick easily. This is also a diagonal line and there's no noticeable wobble or jitter.
4. Consistent line width can created by maintaining consistent line width
5. Dots can be drawn easily
6. No issues with cursor misalignment. Cursor always tracks directly beneath the pen tip. And if there is cursor misalignment, you should calibrate the pen using the driver.

No issues with tilt. Cursor can follow the direction of the pen.
Pen is accurate and sensitive, performance is consistent and predictable.
Drawing experience
Since pen performance is fantastic, drawing experience is fantastic too.

The matte drawing surface is considered smooth, but not slippery, and I can still get good control over the pen. The surface texture is similar to most pen tablets, and also pen displays from other companies.

This was drawn with Medibang Paint.

This was drawn with CSP.

This was also drawn with CSP.
I didn't encounter any issues while drawing. I could get the lines to appear exactly as I expect. Workflow is smooth and uneventful.
The 18.4-inch display size is a good size to work with. After accounting for the space taken up by the UI, there's still a drawing area that's around the size of A4 paper to work with.
The display does not feel hot when drawing for long periods of time. Wiping the matte surface clean is easy too since it doesn't really attract fingerprint smudges easily.
Conclusion

This is a no-frills pen display with a clean and simple design. The display comes with a matte glass surface and has good colour accuracy. The pen is accurate and sensitive, so drawing performance is fantastic. 18.4-inch is a good size to work with and is big but not too big.
The included built-in stand is convenient since it can be adjusted to different angles, to almost upright. The built-in pen holder is also convenient.
The main downside is the pen I've tested would produce a squeaky sound when drawing fast. I've swapped out a few pen nibs and the squeaky sound won't go away. There is no squeaky sound when drawing at normal speed though. My guess is there's something wrong with my pen.
Pricing is competitive with other brands and so it is worth the money.
