Review: Majohn P139 fountain pen with flex nib
Not a sponsored review
The Majohn P139 is a fountain pen with a flex nib. P139 is the colour, bright orange. I bought the pen on AliExpress for USD 55.68 and shipping to Singapore was USD 5.01. At the time of review, this pen cost USD 39.14 before tax and shipping.

It's a budget pen so the packaging looks budget.

The pen looks and feels well made. It's much thicker than I expected, thicker than the BlueDew gen 2 flex nib fountain pen and much thicker than the Namiki Falcon.

Pen nib design is quite simple.

Pen cap is the twist type, and cannot be posted at the back.

The pen nib is made of steel and it does flex, but it's much stiffer than the BlueDew and Namiki Falcon. The stiffness reminds me of the Noodler's Ahab and Konrad but the Majohn does not smell and looks way better.

The design looks good to me.

Here are some writing samples from the three pens.

Majohn has a 0.5mm line. And since the pen nib is stiff, it will produce consistent line width unless you make a conscious effort to flex it.

Pen nibs from BlueDew and Namiki Falcon are more flexible and can create line variation more easily. Those pens are more expensive for a reason.
Video review

If you're looking for a soft flex pen, you'll be disappointed. The nib is stiff so it's not easy to use. It's inexperience so I guess it's still worth it to get one to try. You can train your finger muscles with it and the next time you use a softer flex nib you'll have a much easier time.
