Review: Nillkin SnapBranch Pro Charging Stand
Review sample provided by Nillkin
The Nillkin Snapbranch Pro Charging Stand is a tablet stand compatible several iPad keyboard cases sold by Nillkin, such as the MagicEase keyboard case and Bumper Link keyboard case.
Price of this stand is USD 99, and at the time of review a 15% discount can be applied for a lower price.
Design of this stand looks beautiful. The body is made with aluminium alloy. Surface is matte textured, edges are beveled. Overall build quality is solid. This is a well made stand.
This stand can only work with selected Nillkin keyboard cases, and does not work with keyboard cases from other companies.
The stand is heavy and stable. There are four rubber feet with good grip. The stand can rotate and there's audible clicking sound which is quite satisfying. What looks like a charging base is actually not a charging base.
This stand supports charging of phones with MagSafe or MagSafe accessories. There's a button to push to get wireless charger to pop out. You should use the charging cable included because the connector is small and allows you to tilt the stand without damaging the cable.
Downside is wireless charging speed for phones is just 10W which is kinda slow. And when you're charging the phone, you cannot attach the tablet to the stand.
It is possible to use your tablet vertically, but you can't actually rotate the magnetic attachment. So to deploy your tablet vertically, you have to remove the tablet, rotate, then put the tablet back.
When used with Nillkin keyboard cases that have Bluetooth keyboards, you can have this nice desktop setup.
This stand is definitely worth buying if you already have the intention to get a Nillkin keyboard case.
