Review: Goojodoq gradient keyboard
Review unit provided by Goojodoq
The Goojodoq Gradient Keyboard is an affordable keyboard selling at just SGD 45 on Shopee SG and it even comes with a silent-click mouse.
For a keyboard this cheap, it does feel cheap. The keyboard is wholly constructed with plastic, and feels hollow, just like a toy. I feel like this keyboard is really meant for kids who won't have much expectations.
I thought this was an interesting keyboard to review which is why I agreed to review this. The design actually looks beautiful. I like the gradated colours for the keys. The round keys also look quite cool.
Colours available are pink, white, purple and black. The model of this keyboard is is100. By the way, the keyboard I received is white but the colours in the photo looks off. The keyboard looks much better in reality.
Back of the keyboard has rubber padding for grip. There is foldout feet for one height adjustment, but those foldout feet do not come with rubber padding.
This is a full-sized keyboard with 104 keys and includes the numpad. Function keys also support multimedia shortcuts. There is no lighting.
The keyboard is powered by two AAA batteries which are not included even though the product page mentions batteries are included. The keyboard uses the same 2.4Ghz USB-A wireless receiver that the accompanying mouse uses. There is no wired mode since this keyboard has no ports.
It is difficult to describe the typing experience. It feels like the keys have a lot of cushion and pressing the keys barely makes any noise. The keys are totally flat without any profile but I did not have much issues with hitting the wrong keys. This whole review was typed with the keyboard. Typing on this keyboard does feel like typing on a toy.
Both keyboard and mouse do not support Bluetooth. They only use 2.4Ghz connection. The mouse uses on AA battery and the battery is not included too. There is a storage area inside the mouse for the 2.Ghz USB-A wireless receiver.
The mouse feels more well made compared to the keyboard probably because it feels less hollow. Build quality is actually decent.
There are two sides buttons that work as forward and back buttons. There's button behind the scroll wheel that switches the DPI levels (800, 1200, 1600).
All the mouse buttons have firm clicks and do not feel cheap. The two main buttons even feature silent clicks.
The mouse is actually quite good.
Both keyboard and mouse will auto-sleep with 10 minutes of inactivity. I'm not sure what's the battery life but such devices usually have months worth of battery life.
As mentioned earlier, this keyboard is more suitable for kids who have no expectations and would be happy with anything.
If you're interested to buy this keyboard, you can get it from Shopee SG.
