I'm back from Hanoi, Vietnam, after a one week vacation. It was fun and wet. Just like any other holiday, it's always too short.

Here are the sketches I drew during the trip. I'll be publishing them in eBook format in the future with drawing and holiday tips. The speaker is Jeff Parrott, a game industry environment artist with more than 10 years of experience. In this talk, he covers the importance of personal branding and how you can market yourself more effectively, build a better website, and in general just give your work more visibility.

My suggestion when watching or listening to the video is to take down notes on what you can do to improve yourself or your website.

There's a lot of useful information. I'll write some articles to elaborate on some of the topics mentioned.

Elgin Park is a fictitious mid 20th century American town created by Michael Paul Smith using miniatures and models. I saw Michael's amazing photos many years ago and now he has a photo book coming up called just that, Elgin Park.
