Review: Yunzii AL68 wireless keyboard
The Yunzii AL68 is a 65% wireless mechanical keyboard with an aluminium body. It's a well made keyboard with excellent build quality and wonderful typing experience.
Price of the keyboard is USD 109 at the time of review.
This keyboard has 66 keys and a knob for volume control. The main limitation with this keyboard is there's no function keys from F1 to F12 and is an inconvenience for people who need those keys. As for people who do not need the function keys, you'll get a compact keyboard that works great, and has beautiful RGB lighting.

Design
This keyboard features a clean and simple design. Colours available are white and black. A rather safe design.
I actually had deja vu when I saw this keyboard. I thought I had already reviewed this keyboard but it turned out I had actually reviewed the Yunzii AL65 instead which has 68 keys and no dial. Some of these keyboards look so similar that I'm starting to lose track of what I've reviewed.
This is a heavy keyboard at 1.2kg which is not surprising considering the aluminium body. The weight adds additional stability to the keyboard.
The back has four rubber feet with good grip on the table. The big mirror plate is quite cool but very susceptible to finger prints.
There are no fold-out feet to the keyboard has no tilt adjustment.
Typing experience with the Yunzii Milk V2 linear switches is light and breezy.
For Mac users, the right-Ctrl is still the right-Ctrl, so there's no right-Cmd which means you can't use keyboard shortcuts on the right side with your right hand. This is a deal breaker for Mac users.
Not having the function keys is why this keyboard can be so compact. I actually use function keys often, especially the function key shortcuts for media control so not having the function keys is actually an inconvenience. Anyway, Yunzii does sell other keyboards with the function keys if you do need them.
It is possible to use keyboard shortcuts to get the function keys. Double tap the Fn key and the number keys will switch to F1 to F12.
This keyboard supports many useful keyboard shortcuts and it's definitely worth the time to learn all of them so that you can be more productive and also know how to get the keys you want.
The keyboard support cable, 2.4Ghz and Bluetooth (up to 3 devices) connections. The 2.4Ghz USB-A wireless receiver can be stored beside the connection switch, and that receiver will snap magnetically into its holder.
The RGB lighting is really beautiful. I like how the colour lights blend together underneath the keycaps. You can use keyboard shortcuts to control the lights, and check battery life.
If you use the RGB lights all the time, even during day time, battery life of the keyboard is just 2 days. If you don't use the lights, battery life can last for several weeks with the 6000 mAh battery.
The Yunzii Al68 is a beautiful and well made keyboard. The main selling points would be the compact design, solid build quality, beautiful lights and fantastic typing experience. Limitation would be the missing function key row, and downside would be not having right+Cmd for Mac users.
I suppose it may be possible to use QMK/VIA to create that right+Cmd for Mac users, but I did not test the QMK/VIA customisation.
It's a good keyboard and if you're interested to get this keyboard, you can buy it from Yunzii online store.
