The Yottamaster YoDas DY200C3 is a 2-bay 3.5-inch hard drive storage enclosure. It's a Direct Attached Storage that can hold up to two 24TB hard drives with transfer speed rated at USB 3.1 gen 1 (5Gbps).

Price at the time of review on Amazon US is USD 69.99.

In the box, you'll find a 1m USB-A/C to USB-C data cable, power cable, 48W power adapter, user manual and the storage enclosure.

The enclosure is made with plastic and the back has holes for heat dissipation.

Top cover attaches to the bottom with magnets. There's no way to lock the top cover to the bottom so you'll always have to remember to hold the bottom if you have to move the enclosure around.

Interior is made with plastic too, and there are grilles at the bottom for airflow.

Bottom has 4 rubber feet and I can see a fan behind the grilles. Fan noise is audible even if it's not that loud, so this will be an issue if you have to record audio indoors.

Main selling point of this storage enclosure is to get huge storage capacity. The limitation here is transfer speed as hard drives are noticeably slower compared to SSDs.

This storage enclosure is meant for archiving files, for storing files you don't need often. Since there are two bays, I will personally use a RAID 1 mirror for storage and backup.

A single drive speed is around 200MB/s. If you're used to SSD transfer speeds, you will find this slow. This is to be expected, and for archival purposes it's alright.

Software RAID 0 has transfer speeds up to 350MB/s which is still slower than SSD, not surprising.

This storage enclosure is affordable and works as advertised. It's a simple product that gets it job done.
