Review: Thinborne S26 Ultra case

Thinborne has just released phone cases for the Samsung S26 series, namely the S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra. Price is USD 69 at the time of review.

These phone cases have a clean and sleek design. Colours available are limited to Black, Royal Crimson (nice!) and Wild Navy.

These are made with 600D Aramid Fiber so they are thin, lightweight and tough. They aren't advertised for drop protection but they certainly will prevent scratches.

The main selling point of this case is how thin and lightweight it is. Having the case on doesn't make the phone much bulkier, and you almost won't feel like you're using a case. The texture is smooth matte but there's still good grip.

One downside of Aramid Fiber is they are susceptible to fingerprint smudges, and those can be difficult to wipe off.

Fitting is perfect. Edges are raised slightly so that the display doesn't touch the table when phone is face down. There's also allowance for a screen protector.

And the company actually includes a glass screen protector in the box.

And the packaging box is a wooden box that looks really nice, and can work as a gift box.

Some edges are exposed though, such as the bottom where the USB-C port is and the side where the buttons are.

There are individual cutouts for the cameras and these are precise. These will prevent dust from getting into the case.

The phone case supports MagSafe, and hence can be used with MagSafe accessories such as thumbgrip, wireless chargers, MagSafe phone holders. Magnets are strong if the placement is good.

Unfortunately because Samsung's camera bump is too near the MagSafe ring, certain wireless power banks may not get a good grip. In the photo above, I have to rotate the power bank slightly to have it fit better. The power bank can work if it's aligned vertically to the phone, but the magnet attraction is not strong.
