Brody is an artist and world-famous calligrapher. He grew up in Houston, Texas, and Ulm, Germany. He received his BA in art history from Princeton University and his PhD from The Courtauld Institute of Art in London. He lived in Welsh Borders for six years and now is based in Bruges, Belgium. Textasy, a monograph on his work, was published by Imschoot Uitgevers, Ghent in 2006. His calligraphy can also be seen in the films and projects of Peter Greenaway.
