A World of Artist Journal Pages is actually the sequel to the popular 1,000 Artist Journal Pages that was published in 2008. Author Dawn Devries Sokol is now back with another 1000 pages from 230 artists.
This book is not a how-to guide, but a gallery of journal pages to inspire.
Some are from sketchbooks and some from scrapbooks. Many are pages filled with drawings from imagination, some are collages, and a few sketches from observation. These are all expression of art and there are lots of individual styles to check out. The variety of styles in itself is interesting. It's a book worth revisiting and flipping through to get over creative blocks.
Every artist featured has their name, website and the tools listed. 16 artists are selected for additional interviews.
For those who like journaling, there's lots of inspiration to be found in this 320-page paperback.
