This is the first book I've seen that talks about brush pen illustration.
Featured in this 104-page paperback are basic brush pen techniques and many step-by-step examples you can follow along and draw.
The book starts off with the different types of brush pens available. It talks about the different tips, such as bristles or the firm sponge tips, and the effects you can create with them. If you already have a brush pen, you can follow along easily regardless of the brand you're using.
The exercises are fun and the illustrated examples look simple and nice. You can see some examples on the book cover. The examples are simple subjects that you can draw under 5 minutes. There are food items, fruits and animals.
Since strokes are important, the instructions also includes the strokes in sequential order so that you can follow along exactly to get the same look. By the time you finish practising the 200 examples included, you should be quite comfortable and proficient with using your brush pen.
Overall, it's a wonderful quick guide to brush pen techniques for beginners. If you think you can't draw, this book will get you drawing under an hour.
