This is a 176-page large format hardcover packed with concept art for Pixar's Onward. You're really getting your money's worth with this book because there's so much art included.

There are designs for all the characters, including the discarded ones. I don't particularly like or dislike Ian's design. It's just that he looks kinda similar to Linguini from Ratatouille. But the other characters look great. Very diverse, very likeable.

The environment artworks are lovely. There are lots of sketches and coloured illustrations. What I like most is they have included discarded concepts so you actually get to see how the initial story was like, and how it evolved into the final film. And there are also discarded gags, like how many jokes can you think of for unicorns.

There are also some storyboards and colour scripts.

There's not much text to read because most space is filled by artworks. And that's why there's loads of art in this book.

This is a wonderful book that provides a nice behind-the-scenes look at how the world of Onward was conceived. It's definitely worth the money and worth getting.
