This is the optional USD 69 UPerfect UStand that supports 75mm and 100mm VESA mounting. I highly recommend getting a monitor stand, can be from any brand, to elevate the display to a more ergonomic height.

Design

Design of the display looks quite generic like most portable displays nowadays. Bezels are quite thin, uniform on all sides.

Note the cables that come out from the left side. You can have the cables go behind the display by using the included U-shaped USB-C to USB-C adapter.

This display can be powered by one single USB-C video cable but that may not be able to drive the display to maximum brightness. To achieve maximum brightness, it's best to attach the display to additional power.

Display is quite thin. Weight is just 1.39kg isn't heavy so this display is indeed very portable. UPerfect does sells bags for portable displays of varying sizes.

The built-in kickstand is convenient and has good grip on the table.

The back is made with metal, matte textured, and build quality is solid enough. There's the 75 x 75mm VESA mount at the top. One downside is the back is very susceptible to fingerprints and smudges.

The OSD buttons are location on the right side of the display. There are buttons for direct adjustment for brightness and volume.

There's even a 3.5mm audio jack, and a micro USB for OTG connection for use with mouse and keyboard.

On the left are two USB-C video ports (interchangeable) and a mini HDMI port.

Display

Having the display elevated is definitely recommended compared to looking down at the display that's propped up by its kickstand.

Resolution of the display is 3840 x 2160 (4K UHD) and aspect ratio is 16:9. Refresh rate is 144 Hz.

19-inch is actually not that big compared to a 15-inch laptop, but it's certainly more portable compare to even larger displays. Out of all the portable displays from UPerfect, I actually like the UPerfect UMax 22 the most because it's big, portable and pricing is good.

Sharpness is fantastic with no noticeable pixelation.

The anti-glare is quite effective.

Colour quality is good. I measured colour support for 100% sRGB, 87% NTSC, 89% AdobeRGB, 100% P3 and a maximum brightness 381 nits.

The 144Hz provides smooth OS animation for pan, zoom, rotate, scroll and movement of windows. The high refresh rate is also great for gaming. Whether you can actually game at 4K UHD resolution at 144Hz will of course depend on how powerful your computer is.

I tried some gaming and the gaming experience is great.

This display actually has two speakers but audio sounds hollow.

Downsides or limitations

HDMI with Windows only gets you 4K UHD at 120Hz refresh rate. For some reason with Mac OS, HDMI can only provide 4K UHD at 60Hz.

UPerfect UStand

I highly recommend getting a stand to elevate the display. Shown above is the UPerfect UStand with VESA support that the company sells. The price is USD 69.

This stand works with 75 x 75mm and 100 x 100mm VESA.

This is a much taller stand than most tablet stands. The hinges are tight and can be adjusted with the allen key stored beneath the rotating base.

If the display is going to be used permanently on the table, having such a stand is useful. If you have to bring the display around often, it's more convenient to have a tablet stand that does not require screwing and unscrewing.

Conclusion

The UPerfect 19 Apex is a bright, vibrant and sharp display. 144Hz looks great and makes overall performance and gaming feel so smooth. I don't really have major complaints about this display. It works as advertised.
