Fashion Illustration Techniques is an insightful book on fashion design and is filled with tips and useful information.
The book's a 144-page paperback published by Tuttle Publishing. Artist and author is Hiroko Fukuchi, a part-time lecturer at Sugino Fashion College in Shinagawa, Tokyo, Japan.
The book covers drawing of the human body, simple poses, talks about materials and fabrics, how folds are affected by how cloths are worn, various types of clothing, and variations of different parts of clothing, such as neckline, collars, cuffs, ribbons, more. There are many illustrated examples that can be used for ideas and practice drawing.
This book works great as an instructional and reference book to fashion illustrators, even manga artists and character designers.
