This is the workbook for creating your own stencils. It's quite fun.

The author Amy Rice is a stencil artist herself and has her artworks displayed in several countries. In this book, she showcases 20 step-by-step tutorials on how you can create your own stencils from scratch. The instructions are clear, materials are all listed, and there are also nice photos you can see and follow along.

Some of the examples involve using stencils to create designs for cakes, decorating shelves, floor tiles, pillows, curtains, flower pots, gig posters and many more. There's a good variety of examples to try out.

The basics of creating a stencils are explained. For the beginners, there are also template stencils provided at the back of the book for you to copy as a starting point.

The last section of the book features a gallery of artworks from other artists. Their works are really amazing and many actually don't look like they were created from stencils, which inadvertently will make you wonder how they are created.

Playing with Stencils is a good book to get you started into the world of stencil art and craft.
