Book Review: Cool Japan Guide: Fun in the Land of Manga, Lucky Cats and Ramen
Cool Japan Guide is a fun and entertaining guide to Japan authored by comic artist Abby Denson.
The book is almost like a dummies' guide to Japan that gives tips even before the start of the trip, to the places you can visit, and until the trip ends.
The drawings are a bit too cartoony for me but I was really absorbed by the text on all the interesting things. It talks about all the basics stuff you should know, such as finding food, proper etiquette at homestay, how to save a few dollars from transport, which comic festival to check out, what are the nice sweets to buy as gifts, and more.
After reading the book half way, there's a surge of feeling tell me that I need to go to Japan.
