This is a lovely book for artists into coloured pencils animal drawings, specifically cats and dogs.
Collected within at artworks, tips and techniques from 80 coloured pencil artists. The paperback book only has 120 pages so each artist just gets 2 pages, on one page is the artist profile, text on inspiration and techniques, and the other page is a full-page artwork.
The instructions in this book are not step by step but more like specific tips from the artists. For example, it can be a tip on getting and mixing the correct hair colour for the pen, the materials used and their effect, how to draw eyes, how to start, how to find the essence of the pet, dealing with backgrounds, etc. It's also quite inspiring to read how these artists started using coloured pencils and their relationships with the animals.
The last few pages featured a gallery with additional artworks. There are two on each page. They are beautiful and probably could be printed full page but I guess to save cost maybe that's why there are two on each page.
Overall, it's a nice book for coloured pencil artists.
