I've just been alerted by LincPlus that they will be releasing a new Windows tablet targeted at digital artists and the product name is LincStudio S1.

LincStudio S1 will be released first through crowdfunding on Indiegogo, and later on Amazon. The date of the crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo is not set yet but I will update this post in the future when I know the date.

LincPlus is a company that sells Windows laptops and tablets, and other computer accessories. The LincStudio S1 is their most ambitious product yet because it will have better specification compare to their other products.

I was told the selling price may be around USD 1200 which is noticeably lower than the USD 1699 Huion Kamvas Studio 16. Main difference between LincStudio S1 vs Huion Kamvas Studio 16 are the former has more ports, smaller display, hotkeys, keyboard cover support and lighter weight of 1.1kg vs 1.7kg.

I know there will be many who will question the use of an 11th gen Intel processor from 2021 and the answer is since it's an older processor, it's cheaper. The Huion Kamvas Studio 16 is also using the same processor and I've used that tablet for more than six months and there wasn't any lag with all the drawing apps that I've tested.

The drawing app shown above is Procreate and is not an app that's available on Windows.

The main selling point is the pen uses Wacom EMR tech and supports 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity. As to how good the drawing performance, I can only tell you after testing the review unit. But it's Wacom EMR so the performance should be quite similar to Samsung S Pen.

Latency is 10ms. Just for comparison purposes, the Samsung Tab S7 has 9ms latency, the Tab S8, Tab S9 have 2.8ms latency and the Apple iPad Pro is quite similar.

I only have two concerns for this product. How good will the colour support be for the display? How long is the battery life?
