July 2017 Roundup

Here are all the artbooks and art products reviews from July. Oh wow. It looks like I have been slacking off. I only featured 8 books. O_o" Maybe that's because I went to Bangkok, Thailand, for a week. Usually, I would review some books in advance but not this time.

Books

  1. If You're Bored With WATERCOLOUR Read This Book
  2. Wonder Woman: The Art and Making of the Film
  3. Lovely Darkness Vol 2 by Eduardo Vieira
  4. The Art of Cars 3

  6. Modern Lettering: A Guide to Modern Calligraphy and Hand-Lettering

  8. New York Sketchbook by Jason Brooks

Below are some new books I've added to the upcoming list. Check out the list to see their release date.

Art product reviews

Last month, I was sent an Ugee 2150 Pen Display to review. There's actually a guest review for the Ugee 2150 but at least now I get to use it to find out how it performs. That unit has been out for 2 years already and it still functions well. It's a pretty simple pen display that's a much affordable alternative to the Wacom Cintiq. Check out the review if you're looking for a good pen display. Ugee 2150 a good one.

  1. Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 vs iPad Pro (Artist Comparison Review)

Youtube

Most of my time was spent creating videos for my Youtube channel. Going forward, I may not be able to feature as many artbooks as I used to. Making videos is so time consuming. And in July, I managed to get over 9 million views for my videos. I can't really make sense of that number but it's amazing. Thank you all so much for the support!

How to support Parkablogs

1. If you find my blog useful, do support me on Patreon.
Patreon is a monthly subscription service where you can pledge a certain dollar amount to support the creator you like. You can edit your pledge anytime afterwards. The money raised goes a long way to supporting my work and the blog. It's used to get stuff for review (I don't have many sponsors), hire guest artists and fund the webhosting. Even a $1 is great because that's like you sponsoring my bus ride to go out to make sketching videos.

2. Getting your stuff through affiliate links
I earn a small commission 4-5% for books through Amazon and Book Depository. So whenever you think of getting stuff from Amazon or Book Depository, you can click on any affiliate links on my blog before heading over. This is of no extra cost to you.

3. Share my blog or Youtube channel
This does not require you to spend any money. If you find anything interesting on my blog or Youtube channel, just share a link with your artist friends. It's that simple.

4. Enroll in one of my sketching courses on Gumroad
I have several sketching courses on Gumroad. You can pick up a skill that will last a lifetime, and at the same time support me. It's a simple and useful skill you will not forget.

No matter how small your contribution, every little bit adds up. My dream is to be able to blog and vlog full-time from online income. Hopefully one day it will come true. :-)

Thanks!
