Huion released Kamvas Pro 19 & 27, and Kamvas Slate 10 at CES 2024

Huion has released two new pen displays and a portable tablet for digital artists at CES 2024.

The pen displays Kamvas Pro 19 and Kamvas Pro 27 priced at USD 1099 and USD 1999 respectively. The 10.1-inch Kamvas Slate 10 is priced at USD 249. Prices may or may not include shipping depending on location.

The two new pen displays are of course the best ones that Huion has released so far. The products are already in stock and can be ordered through Huion's online store. By the way, if you are buying, do considering using my affiliate links to support my blog and Youtube channel.

I do not have any review units so I'll just post the specs below and provide some brief thoughts. For more photos, just visit Huion's website.

The Huion Kamvas Pro 19 is an 18.4-inch touchscreen pen display with 4K UHD resolution. The display is laminated and colour accuracy is up to 96% AdobeRGB which is really good (anything above 90% is good). The new Huion PW660 and PW660S pens with PenTech 4 supports tilt and up to 16K levels of pressure sensitivity.

All the specs look good except for the 220 nits brightness which in real life is probably gonna be 20% lower so maybe you'll get somewhere nearer to 176 nits. For indoor use, that's bright enough as long as you have curtains drawn slightly.

This pen display should be good for those who find the 16-inch pen displays to be small, but 24-inch ones to be too big.

Mac users may have to use the app BetterDisplay for finer control over UI scaling. 4K UHD and 18.4-inch display size may not be the best pairing for Mac users. WIndows user don't have to worry about UI scaling issues.

Official retail price is USD 1099. It's currently listed at USD 1044.

The Huion Kamvas Pro 27 is an 27-inch touchscreen pen display with 4K UHD resolution. The display is laminated and colour accuracy is up to 98% AdobeRGB which is really good (anything above 90% is good). The new Huion PW660 and PW660S pens with PenTech 4 supports tilt and up to 16K levels of pressure sensitivity.

The price at USD 1999 is quite pricey but this is a high end pen display with good specs so higher price is to be expected. This competes with the USD 2089 Xencelabs Pen Display 24 released in 2023, and of course the USD 3499 Wacom Cintiq Pro 27.

Just by looking at the specs, everything looks fine.

Mac users will definitely have to use BetterDisplay app to handle UI scaling because 27-inch and 4K UHD resolution is not a good combo for Mac. Windows users don't have to worry about UI scaling.

Huion Kamvas Slate 10 is a budget Android tablet with pen support. The CPU and GPU may not be the latest or most powerful but for drawing purposes they should be good enough for smooth performance. At least 8GB RAM is included and there's a microSD card slot too.

The 10.1-inch display is glossy, laminated and has 1920 x 1200 resolution (16:10 aspect ratio).

Pen performance with Android tablets usually has some issues, most notable one being wobble and jitter with slow diagonal lines. So I am incredibly interested to find out how good the pen performance is with this tablet. If there are no issues with the pen performance, then the closest competitor is the Samsung Tab S6 Lite (2022).
