In this article, I will share you with how I backup my artworks from Infinite Painter, on both iPad and Android devices.

On iPad

On the iPad, I recommend you use Apple iCloud which will backup everything so you don't really have to worry about anything.

On Android

For Android users, backing up Infinite Painter files is not as straightforward.

Infinite Painter saves its files, your artworks, at this location (folder) on Android (v10 or newer):

Internal_Storage\Android\data\com.brakefield.painter

A computer is needed to access this folder because Android security does not let you access that folder using your tablet.

Backup to external storage
The folder above is the one you need to backup, with the help of a computer.

Transferring to a new tablet
If you have a new Android tablet, you need to copy the folder listed above to the same location on your new tablet, with the help of a computer.

Do not sell or trade-in your old tablet before you have checked that all your artworks are transferred over.

The transfer functionality provided by your tablet may not transfer all your files from the old to new tablet.

And even after copying, I found out that the folders inside Infinite Painter apps are not copied over. The artworks you have moved into your created folders are moved back to the main gallery.
