Here's Tara McPherson's art book for the loved and the lost. It's a 112-page hardcover published by Dark Horse.
It collects her paintings, prints, posters, comics and work-in-progress sketches. There are also some cool translucent overlay with line art that goes over her finished pieces.
On first look, the art from Tara McPherson looks sweet and dark at the same time. Every illustration has a different side to it on a closer look. Even the for the cover, what you don't see is the lady blowing heart-shaped bubbles through the chest of a guy who has a heart-shaped carved out. Cute gothic, or "sweetly creepy" as mentioned in the interview included.
Enticing with the seductive qualities of form, ink, and paint, but then throwing an element into the mix that makes the viewer want to turn away, even though they are incapable of doing so due to the idealization of the image - Tara McPherson
Nice book for the fans.
