If you have never calibrated your monitor before, then you probably would not need to colour calibrate this. Because you'll be using the default colour settings from your OS.
Some people, like me, colour calibrate because they use different monitors and they need to see the same colours on all those different monitors. So they need specific colour profiles for each monitor. But if you're just using one screen, or even two, it should be fine without calibration.
