I have not used the Barroco, but I have used the Perla and found it soft but did not hold hardly any water/paint. I have just recently tried the Escoda Ultimo and was sadly disappointed as the rounds hardly held any paint/water. I was expecting better as I thought maybe a ten round would perform better for a synthetic squirrel. The size 8 dagger/striper was a little better, but overall the Ultimo were pitiful IMHO. I expect the Barroco did Nick just fine for his multimedia large paintings. I miss him as he was so original, helpful and fun. RIP, Nick.
