Winsor & Newton Fineliner is a technical pen with a needle point felt tip that uses pigmented ink made for sketching, drawing and writing. Colours available are black, cool grey and sepia.

The pens are available in sets and individually. Widths available for black are 0.05, 0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 0.8 and 1.0. Widths available for sepia and cool grey are 0.1, 0.3, 0.5. Hopefully WN can add the full range of line widths for sepia and cool grey in the future.

The cap can be posted if you want to have a longer pen to hold.

The pen design is tapered at the front and there's a needle point at the end. This design is great for those who love tapered tips. This design lets you see what you are drawing without the pen blocking your view.

Line width of the pens are labeled on the top of the cap and by the side of the body.

Since I've only started using the pens, I can't say how long the ink will last. This pen is not designed to be refillable.

The black ink is a solid black. The lines have solid edges without feathering. The ink is pigmented and archival.

The ink is said to be water resistant. I have applied water over the ink and I don't see the ink dissolving so it seems to be almost waterproof.

The ink dries fast. As long as the ink is dry, you can apply alcohol marker over the lines without any smudges.

The Winsor & Newton Fineliner performs well just like what I would expect from a top quality technical pen.
