Teoh,

Teoh,
Thank you for your review. As mentioned by szymon, there is however a very serious issue with the Surface Pen on the Surface Pro that makes it nearly impossible to use when the writing hand touches the screen. It has already been reported by more than 2300 people on the Microsoft Community forum and it is hard to believe you did not notice it. My guess is that you either use an artist's glove or somehow manage to draw without touching the screen (as it seems in your video). Most people actually need to rest their hand on the screen when writing or drawing. Try drawing with your hand resting on the screen and you should see the problem. The contact of the hand with the screen somehow creates a disturbance that affects the parallax correction of the ink. The parallax is the offset between the displayed ink and the tip of the pen, which depends on the angle between the pen and the screen. Thanks to the new tilt sensor in the pen, Microsoft could correct this parallax to make the ink appear just under the tip. Unfortunately, on the Surface Pro, this correction is erratically affected by the contact of the hand with the screen, resulting in the ink randomly jumping back and forth between corrected and uncorrected location. The problem does not occur with the Surface Studio and Surface Book 1, because they do not support tilt, and therefore do not have the parallax correction. From my experience in stores, the Surface Book 2, which has tilt support, does not suffer from the problem and gives a consistent parallax correction. It would be great if you could mention this critical issue of the Surface Pro in your review because no review has reported it, and each month new buyers discover the problem, while Microsoft remains silent about it. Thanks!
