Hi,

Hi,

unfortunately for me, the new surface pro with the new pen turned out to be a huge disappointment. In my opinion, it is beyond doubt that the ipad pro's pencil is a completely different league when it comes to precision and ability to draw and take notes. This is already visible in your sketches of the cubes: it is virtually impossible to draw three lines so that they intersect in one point. This is quite different from the normal experience when drawing with a pencil on a piece of paper, or when drawing with on the ipad pro. Also, writing does not come out naturally and creates artefacts such as "tails" coming out of letters. These problems have been covered extensively here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/surface/forum/all/intermittent-pen-i....
Another way to demonstrate the problems with the surface pro is to see what is the smallest size that you can write with, so that it is still readable. On paper, you can do it with really small font -- say three times larger than the tip of your pen. On Ipad pro this is not much worse. On the surface pro, you actually need to write larger letters than you normally would on a piece of paper.

To be honest, I am surprised that an artist could have not noticed those problems, in particular, I'm surprised (and unfortunately, I was mislead) by your opinion:

"For some reason, maybe because of the design, the Apple Pencil just feels right. I won't say that Apple Pencil is better. It's just different. "

I could list many very tangible ways in which the apple pencil is far superior to the surface pro's pen. It's not just different. It's far superior.
