I know of another 100% cotton sketchbook! The Strathmore 500 series Mixed Media sketchbook is really good but a little pricey (at least for me, around 25 USD at one of my art stores). It has 64 pages and opens flat with use but it has a soft leathery cover (which I love because it's nice to touch). I don't know if it will hold up to abuse, not because I think it's made bad but because I'm very delicate with my sketchbooks.
I find it funny because the 500 series watercolor sketchbook has no cotton content?
