Book Review: The Tragical Comedy or Comical Tragedy of Mr. Punch
The story is about a boy who chanced upon a Punch and Judy puppet show, and that of his memories of his family. It's not a horror story but it's dark. I didn't really quite get the nuances of Neil Gaiman's storytelling, so to me it was a rather simple story.
Dave McKean's art was what drew me in. It's a mixture of drawings and collage style art. For the puppets, he used photos which really captured the feel of the puppet show. It's like a craft book with a dark story.
It's another intriguing combination between Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean.
