Book Review: London Notebook

London Notebook - 01

London Notebook is part of a series of notebooks released by publisher Editions Didier Millet. Other notebooks feature Paris and New York.

If you find the artworks on the cover familiar, it's because they have been published previously in London Sketchbook: A City Observed. The artist is Graham Byfield who has illustrated several travel sketchbooks for the publisher.

London Notebook is a small palm-size hardcover ruled notebook that comes with a red ribbon bookmark. You can fit it in a coat pocket but not anything smaller.

It uses perfect binding as stitching so it's looks and feels durable. There are 160 pages and on some pages you'll see watercolour sketches at one corner, and sometimes you'll be treated to a double page art. The small artworks are just too small and if you don't already have the London Sketchbook, they could tempt you to get that.

Right at the back are calendars for 2015, 2016 and 2017. And further back are some blank pages.

It's nice and simple notebook.

As with lower-priced items, it's usually cheaper to get it from Book Depository instead of Amazon, especially when Book Depository has free shipping included.
