Book Review: Drawing Shortcuts: Developing Quick Drawing Skills Using Today's Technology

Drawing Shortcuts: Developing Quick Drawing Skills Using Today's Technology

This book is more suitable for architecture or landscaping students. I was checking it out to see if I could improve on my outdoor sketches.

The book's an introductory course to drawing and sketching architectural subjects. It's filled with different tips on drawing with different mediums, ideas on how to use technology to blend with the work, presentation and ways to build confidence. It's not really a very technical book but you get to pick up some hand drawn as well as computer drawing tips. The examples are plentiful and nice.

The second edition is updated with recent developments in technology, such as the usage of Google Sketchup to aid design. So the book's pretty up to date.

Recommended for anyone into architecture and landscape drawing and sketching.
