Here's another artbook that I got at the Singapore Toy Games Comics Convention 2015.

MIX is a portfolio artbook by two artists, namely Rudy Crut and Hendry Iwanaga. They are both artists from Indonesia and working at artbook I've also featured before).

This is a 85-page paperback artbook featuring concept designs for characters, environments and props. The artworks are beautiful, especially the character designs, which are original and of their own IP — more artists should do that. The shapes, postures, details, colours of the characters look fantastic.

Environment designs are slightly less detailed and look more like studies for lighting and composition. They look good too. As for object designs, they are mostly interestingly shaped trees and other miscellaneous smaller objects.

At the end, there are two guest artists Josh Corpuz and Guille Garcia who are also skilled artists but only have two pages each in the book. You can check out their websites for more wonderful concept artworks.

MIX is a great little artbook. I wished there were more pages because I really enjoyed the art.
