Meet the characters and monsters of ORO

Björn Hurri is an award-winning concept artist and art director, originally from Sweden, now living in Latvia. He has worked on titles such as Horizon: Zero Dawn, Alien Isolation, God of War 4, Dishonored, League of Legends, and many more. He also teaches concept art workshops.

ORO is a 248-page hardcover fantasy artbook that features character designs for ORO, a world that Björn Hurri has created. The content is split half for light and dark characters. Half the content in this book is upside down so at the middle of the book you have to turn the book upside down.

The artworks are beautiful with many characters and monsters to look at, and each subject has a short profile. It kinda reminds me of fantasy art created for Magic the Gathering and especially World of Warcraft, such as the ones from the World of Warcraft: The Art of the Trading Card Game. If you like fantasy art and fantasy characters, this is the book for you.

The book is priced at €39 and is available from publisher Editions Caurette online store. This book was made possible thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign that ended in September 2022.
