Actually, I was trying to access the scanner through some separately installed scan gear program and drivers, and it was not discovering the scanner (still isn't), so I deleted it, maybe was for wireless connected scanners only. But after I read your comment and went to the default program IJ Scan Utility - in search for where I can manually add the dpi I saw the one button called Scan gear. What I great surprise, I found it! Thanks again for your help. Just checked and it worked beautifully at 1200dpi, which I was after. Cheers and have a great weekend :)
