First of all ignore those who

First of all ignore those who call the skateboards lazy. Anyone who knows you certainly knows you're not lazy at all. They don't live your life so they don't know what motivates you and how you operate. I have a battery operated Staedtler eraser. Someone called it the pinnacle of laziness. What they don't know is it's great for removing colored pencil and it get into very small areas too. It's a very valuable tool that I can't do without.

Sounds you're making the most of your time each day. Time is a precious resource. To me time to myself is worth its weight in gold lol. It's when I can sit and practice sketching things, watch some tutorials, and try to better my skills at sketching and drawing. I like to listen to an audio book too while practicing or some instrumental music.

As for getting around, I have a bicycle. Here in Dayton OH quite a lot of people ride bikes. It's a bit like Japan in that way. A very significant number of people will bike their way around. There's even a bike rental program operated by the city.

Dayton is like a big city interspersed with open residential areas and land here and there. I'm in a mostly skyscraper area. I like it here. I'm just blocks away from the Oregon historic district. What I don't like is the cold, snowy Winters here. That biting cold can often stop one in their tracks. If I ever get rich lol I'm moving to a place where it's warm year round.

Anyways, I've rambled enough lol. Your audience really does appreciate all of your time and effort. You do a huge service to the art and urban sketching communities. Your channel, blog etc are valuable resources with something for pretty much everyone of regardless of skill level or chosen medium to create art with.

One thing. If you want to see a big spike in subscriber numbers consider doing a live stream with of the other artists on YouTube. Owings Art, Mind of Watercolor, and M D Campbell have done streams together not so long ago. The benefit is some of their subscribers will come to you and some yours to them. Just a thought. Anyways, good luck in 2018. You've been around for a while, but your channel, blog etc their potential is still unlimited.
