Aleksi Briclot is a French artist born in 1978. He creates concept art and has worked for many big name publishers like Marvel, Wizards of the Coast, Blizzard Entertainment and many more.
Worlds & Wonders is a large format 192-page hardcover that even comes with a page ribbon. The art book features his professional work from 2003 to 2010. You'll see lots of beautiful illustrations and concept art. Some of the pieces you might have seen in the Spectrum annuals, but there are so much more here. The creations are imaginative, characters and worlds believable and alive, regardless of whether it's fantasy or sci-fi.
Paintings are printed gloriously big. Even those small pieces of art on Magic the Gathering cards are blown up to full page. Although intended for small format, the art on the card has enough details for a wall painting, and that applies to every other artwork in the book. This book is paintings all the way, with sketches appearing on the gatefolds that start every chapter.
The commentary, in French and English, are mainly quotes from his fellow peers.
Worlds & Wonders is a collection of top notch art that is inspiring and simply amazing. Aleksi Briclot is an artist on top of his game.

I really wish there was an easier way of getting this book. I want it so bad, but shipping is ridiculous. I even wrote to Gallery Nucleus , requesting them to stock this but haven't heard from them.

I received this book in the last week from amazon uk and it is simply amazing. The build quality of the book is very impressive - sure to last many decades of heavy reading. The fold out sketchbook pages are a really nice touch too.
And finally, the art is simply breathtaking and printed at exceptionally high quality.
This now rivals my art of metal gear solid books as the most treasured in my collection.
