The Art of Godzilla: King of the Monsters is a 190-page hardcover companion book for the third film in the Monsterverse, Godzilla: King of Monsters. Just like the artbooks for Godzilla and Kong: Skull Islang, this book is packed with lots of art, behind the scenes photography and extensive text on the film production.

Since Godzilla is already prominently featured in the earlier artbook, most of the art in this book features the other monsters, characters, set and environment. The creature concept artworks look great with plenty of designs and monster fight scenes, some of which are double page spreads. The environment art is also pretty cool and does a good job showing the destruction and the sheer size of these monsters.

The art is good and will thrill any fans of monster films. However what I enjoyed most is actually reading the film production process, understanding what goes on behind the scenes to make such special-effects and CGI laden films. There are interviews with the directors and crew on the story process, pre-production, pre-visualising the important scenes, choreography of the fight scenes, creature design and the Monsterverse.

So there are lots of see and read here. Delightful artbook. One I can recommend easily to fans of the film.
