Thanks for updating in 2023. I got a noodler pen too. I washed it with dish soap, doused in vinegar. Then baking soda. I also put some hair gel on it. That seemed to eradicate the smell unless your nose was right on top of it. I heard that putting it in the sun can help with the smell
