Lorin Wood, the artist/curator/project manager behind the Nuthin' But Mech series of artbooks, has ventured towards space travel. This book is published by Design Studio Press as well.
Traverse: Vehicles from the Outer Rim of Imagination is a large format 120-page hardcover artbook that features space transportation, e.g. space ships, freighters, space stations, planet buggies and some robots. 51 artists have contributed to this book so there's a good variety of art and styles to see. There's a nice mix of digital painting and 3D art. The quality of the art is of course top notch, on par with other artbooks Lorin Wood has put out so far.
The text included are brief paragraphs talking about the concepts. So this artbook is essentially a gallery artbook. There's an index of artists with their websites included should you want to see more art online. I wish some tutorials were included to show how some of the artworks were created.
This is a book for fans of sci fi art.
