ファイナルファンタジーVII 10thアニバーサリー アルティマニア when translated is "FFVII 10th Anniversary Ultimania". This book is actually published by Square Enix themselves. It's a look back at Final Fantasy VII and its amazing 10 years of game franchise.

This 240-page paperback is loaded with nostalgic imagery and details. As an ultimania, it has all sorts of information that would interest any FF fans. The book is split into four chapters. They are the history of FFVII, characters, story playback and secrets (which is actually the misc stuff like art work).

In the first chapter on FFVII, it looks at its history, the production timeline, all the spin off games, the summons and even includes the old world map with the different towns. Included also are interviews with the creators who worked on the main game, Advent Children, Before Crisis, Crisis Core and Dirge of Cerberus.

Chapter 2 focuses on the characters, looks at their evolution from their first (polygonal) appearance to when they are updated in Advent Children. You'll read about the roles and also find out where they have reappeared in the other spin off games. All the playable characters in FFVII are in, including Cait Sith. And then there are characters only from the spin off games like Zack Fair, President Shinra, Scarlet, Reeve Tuesti, Hojo, Rufus Shinra, Reno, Rude and many more. It's quite extensive.

The third chapter looks at how the different games and movie relate to one another in terms of story and characters. There's even a mini walkthrough of FFVII game with screenshots. It includes all the previous titles mentioned earlier including Last Order.

The last chapter titled with the ambiguous "Secret" is all the other miscellaneous stuff. There's an interview with the voice actor of Cloud, 櫻井 孝宏, concept art, splash art (including cool Advent Children portrait renders), disc cover art, merchandise and collectibles.

Highly recommended to fans of Final Fantasy VII. Those who can read Japanese will enjoy it more so, of course.
