This is a 104-page hardcover book by Sue Anne Bottomley that features her sketches, experiences, stories and tips for people who want to sketch, reasons for people to start sketching.
All the sketches in this book were drawn on location. These are mixed media sketches that capture scenes, locations and people. I particularly enjoy reading the stories and background for the difference places. A picture may say a thousand words but a picture with some text can say even more. If you have no inclination to sketch, perhaps this book will inspire you to do so. There's a lot of value in sketching. In this book, the sketches are recollection of the past, and are used for documenting. You can also just draw to relax.
There are tips scattered throughout the book on sketching, tips like what to draw, where to draw, how to think and how to approach certain scenes. The tone is encouraging. This book is suitable for beginners who are just starting out with sketching, with making art.
