Undisputed Street Fighter is a comprehensive guide to the Street Fighter universe published in 2017 by Dynamite Entertainment. It's a must-buy for all Street Fighter fans because it's packed with so much history and stories of the game, fans and pop culture it has created.

This book comes in two edition. There's the standard and deluxe edition. Both are hardcover. With the deluxe edition, you get the slipcase, some prints and a fix-it-yourself cardboard arcade machine. Both are 304 pages thick.

You can tell that plenty of research has been done. The book is packed with lots of interviews from the fans, gamers and the game creators. The book talks about history of Street Fighter and how it has evolved, the game releases and reception, tournaments, the spin-offs into movies, animation and comics, toys, voice actors and art. If you're someone who follows tournaments, e.g. EVO, you should find many names familiar, such as Daigo, Justin Wong, Alex Valle, John Choi, James Chen, etc.

It's really insightful to learn about the game's ups and downs, how producer Yoshinori Ono breathe new life into the series just as the game's popularity was waning. The second half of the book looks at each SF character in detail, talking about the design changes and the moves.

If you're a fan, I've a feeling you would read this from cover to cover in one seating. It's a great book. Highly recommended.

The deluxe edition is pricey. The standard edition is more worth the money in my opinion.
