There's a new series of comic books published recently in Singapore from COSH Studios (Comics of Singapore Histories). Each title mixes a story together with a part of Singapore's history and culture. This particular title that I'm reviewing is Final Resting Place, written and drawn by my friend James Tan.

The story starts with parents dragging their son to visit their grandfather's grave at Bukit Brown, one of the largest cemetery in Singapore. The little boy was obviously clueless about the tradition of visiting graves and paying respects to the dead. The story ended up with the boy getting lost in the grave and was helped by a caretaker there who explain the significance and the history of Bukit Brown cemetery.

The comic book only has 64 pages so it's a pretty quick read. What I like about the book is it contains bits of information about Bukit Brown Cemetery. By weaving those information into the story, it allows the reader to know a bit more about the cemetery, which recently had to make way to build roads.
